Three Eclipses

You've got to admit that three eclipses in a row is unusual.

But then we are living in "unusual" times.

Why do you think your soul chose to incarnate at this time? We are standing at a crossroads, such as occurs only every so often. We have what might be called a crisis, or series of crises all entertwined -- global economy, global ecosystem, and each individual's global ecosystem. Everywhere we go there are concerns about finances and health, values and priorities. Someone creates a "green" bag out of 100% cotton, imprinted with "not plastic," and then we research what it takes to grow enough cotton to make such a bag -- how much land, water, fertilizer, PESTICIDES.

What is the answer? Globally, and, because things start at home, for YOU. You chose to incarnate at the time you did for a reason. Let me give you a free mini-Spiritual Life Purpose report. Email me and mention this offer - sdunn@susandunn.cc . Your Spiritual Life Path is yours, and yours alone, according to your birth date, time and place, when you CHOSE to incarnate.

What karma are you here to work on? What personal karma and what global karma?

If you are looking for direction, it is about your spiritual life purpose and path.

What is Your Anchor?

SEEN ON THE CANNES TOUR

There are running jokes on tours and tour buses. Men particularly tell the one about the guy who writes in his journal "JAC" -- just another cathedral.
It is not "alert the press" that males and females are different. It was very obvious on the Russian cruise how exciting locks are to men, while the women watched us go through the first one, and then went on to other things.

But back to cathedrals. There are the cathedrals you really must see in your lifetime, if you are lucky enough to be able to -- Notre Dame, Chartres. I would add the one in Siena, Italy. My father liked the one in Bruges, Belgium. You may have one of your own, and truly theirs no need to have a "favorite". But after that, you can get tired of it; tired of the thought of it. Especially if you aren't very "aesthetic" -- if you don't appreciate beauty.

But, all jokes aside, it is one of those things that impresses you in its absence. When I took the tour of Cannes, France, we toured the town by bus and then they dumped us off in the resort/city area. Yachts lining the harbor on the left. Rows and rows of places for us to shop and spend money on the right. And in the mid-area, I plopped myself down in a cafe to people-watch. (I'll add here that it is no place to people-watch. Not very interesting and mostly people who are obviously tourists, i.e., you'd see the same thing back home.)

That having been said, I sipped my capucino and began to feel a little disoriented. I thought to myself, "Where's the church? The cathedral?" It just didn't feel like I was in a town, something with a center.

Now I will be driving from Tx to D.C. and I am planning to spend 2 nights in Asheville. I want to take the train through the Smokies, and drive the "scenic Blue Ridge Parkway." After all, I've done the Amalfi and the Grand Corniche. But here is something else I will include, and listen to how they describe it: "Completed in 1909, the Basilica of St. Lawrence D.M. is one of Asheville's architectural treasures and spiritual anchors."

What your "spiritual anchor" is, is up to you. But if you want to be enjoy good health (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual), you'd best have one. It grounds you, balances you, and reminds you how to make choices at every turn in the road. It's just so helpful.

If you'd like to know your Spiritual Life Purpose, right be for a report. It can help you anchor your life in ways you can't imagine. sdunn@susandunn.cc

Life Purpose of Ed W. "Too Tall" Freeman

What was the Spiritual Life Path of Ed W. "Too Tall" Freeman, here being awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor by President Bush.

One of my specialties is the Spiritual Life Purpose Report.
Freeman was born November 20, 1927 in Neely, Mississippi (see natal chart above)

Brief history - perhaps you're getting the email that's again going around:
Ed W. "Too Tall" Freeman, [Captain, U.S. Army Company A, 229th Assault Helicopter Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) received the Medal of Honor] for his actions in the Battle of Ia Drang in 1965. As a helicopter pilot, he flew through gunfire more than 20 times during a single, ferocious battle [as a volunteer], bringing supplies to a trapped battalion of United States soldiers and flying more than 70 wounded soldiers to safety. Freeman flew wingman for Major Bruce Crandall who also received the Medal of Honor for the same missions. He is also honored in the film We Were Soldiers and is played by Mark McCracken. Note: Crandall wrote that Freeman was 6'7".

Notes on Spiritual Life Purpose: The essence of it - to overcome past lifetimes as a Wild Man, or Free Spirit; to learn to fit in with and preserve the society he disdained in former lifetimes. How about helping his sdociety in such a dramatic way that he is awarded the Medal of Honor.

  • Considered an exalted and poweful placement
  • Victory after much anxiety and trouble (one example - he wanted to be a helicopter pilot but was "too tall" - 6'7". That's how he got the military nickname "Too Tall." Later the height restrictions were changed and he got to do what he always wanted to do - after much trouble.
  • Has the sort of luck that comes when everything seems lost. He was the first, or only 2, to volunteer to go on this mission
  • Brash moves, brazen courage
  • Impulsive, not hampered by desires for perfection
  • a Wild Soul, a Free Spirit who wikll need to learn to be aware that others have a viewpoint - how about saving their lives?
  • Optimistic about outcomes
  • Has an excessive life - how about the first of only 2 to volunteer for this. And his moniker after all includes "too"
  • Will avoid restrictions and wants to live by his own rules. Hates routine. Likes danger.
  • Actions speak louder than words - always wants activity
  • Nervous energy … not fond of responsibility (the extended sort); eternally restless
  • Just wants to get it over with, get it out of the way; "Yeah, but I gotta go!"
  • Like a bull in a china shop, a shouter in a library
  • To learn to preserve the society he disdained in former lifetimes, the society necessary for his very survival (so he lived to be honored by the society of which he was a part - by the Medal of Honor)
  • Wild stallion fighting being tamed (after he retired from the military, one of the things he did was round up wild horses by helicopter)
  • Needs circumstances that force him to be part of society, be with others (the military)
  • One astrologer wrote, "Lives his life on the rim of the wheel, occasionally darting into the center of the hub only to run back out again." Isn't this the definition of medevac pilot?
  • Suggested remedies: An Air Force career is recommended
  • Search for meaning and purpose and clear life direction important - once he got into his beloved helicopters, he remained there for this entire work life

From We Were Soldiers:

Scottish accent lyrics:

"Lay me doon
In the caul, caul groon
Whau afore
Monie mair huv gaun

Lay me doon
In the caul, caul groon
Whau afore
Monie mair huv gaun

When they come
A will staun ma groon
Staun ma groon
Al nae be afraid..."

English translation lyrics:

"Lay me down
in the cold cold ground
Where before
many more have gone

Lay me down
in the cold cold ground
Where before
many more have gone

When they come
I will stand my ground
Stand my ground
I'll not be afraid"

Thank you Ed "Too Tall" Freeman for your service to your country. R. I. P.

Natal Chart of Sully Sullenberger, pilot of US Airways flight 1549

Miracle on the Hudson ... or Shall We Gather at the River?

Captain Chesley B. "Sully" Sullenberger III, the heroic pilot of US Airways flight 1549, was born January 23, 1951, in Denison, Texas. We do not have his birth time. His natal chart:

Sun sign: Aquarius.
Moon: Leo.
Venus in Aquarius
Mars and Jupiter in Pisces
North Node in Pisces
Mercury in Capricorn
Saturn in Libra
Uranus in Cancer
Neptune in Libra
Pluto in Leo

Are you getting here the picture of someone who cares about humanity and would do an heroic deed to save them if called upon?

We know of the humanitarian Aquarian, and of the courage and magnanimous nature of the Leo, but lets look at two other pertinent things:

  • Second Saturn Return: Cpt. Sullenberger will turn 58 on the 23rd of this month, and is therefore approaching his Second Saturn Retutn.
  • Life Purpose: The node that indicates Cpt. Sullenberger's spiritual or life purpose is in Pisces (opposite node being in Virgo)

Just a brief look here. A full Spiritual Life Path Report and a full Saturn Return Report are extensive. If you would like your own Spiritual Life Purpose Report or Saturn Return Report, email me for information.

SECOND SATURN RETURN

The First Saturn Return occurs between the ages of 28-30 and is a chance to redo your life as you progress from childhood to adulthood. At the Second Saturn Return, occurring between the ages of 58-60, we have our second big chance to redo our life. Many people make career changes at this time, some choose to cross over, others make changes in their personal lives and relationships, some move or retire, some take steps that put them on their life purpose path, and some do an all-out "do-over".

There's nothing like a life-changing experience such as Cpt. Sullenberger had to usher in a bigtime Second Saturn Return.

NORTH NODE IN PISCES

The North Node in Pisces calls for subordinating the self in service to others. Martin Shulman describes it as, "[The person] must learn how to immerse himself in the waters of Cosmic Consciousness, and in this baptism of thought he can truly experience a new birth."

And into the water went Captain Sullenberger.

More things about Pisces/Virgo (Pisces is the "head" and Virgo is the "tail") Node:

Being able to focus deeply, analyze, rely on facts and logic and preference for structure and order are all learned from childhood or past lives. At the same time, they have remarkable intuition, but need to become conscious of this fact, to trust it and use it.

Watch the simulation below and you will see how little time this hero had to make any sort of "rational" decisions and by all accounts how "cool headed" he was. The South Node Virgo (the starting position) will panic at chaos or emergency.

It is pertinent to note that Cpt. Sullenberger majored in psychology and combined his passion for flying and psychology in also running a safety-consulting firm. Briand says in his article "[Sullenberger] had been studying the psychology of keeping airline crews functioning even in the face of crisis."

The person with this Node will go through experiences which force him to grow more compassionate and forgiving, and also will be challenged with experiences where their preference for structure and order does not work.

Others who went into the water with him seemed to have learned something (from NJ.com).

Gov. Jon Corzine said last night that by all accounts, the passengers appeared to have avoided panic and worked together to save themselves. "The people inside the plane pulled together," Corzine said during a visit to Palisades Medical Center.

And those of us who watched, in awe (Who was it that said "the heavens belong to the birds, and the plane entered their space?" and the Internet comment: "birds are helpless creatures on earth like all of us. Its not their fault.")

And perhaps in keeping with the Overall Plan, many passengers when rescued expressed the desire to thank the pilot, the man who had saved them, that is, their Savior.

We will all be watching to see where this experience will lead Cpt. Sullenberger next. He has already become the Poster Boy for the Boomer generation, because it took great experience to be able to handle that situation. (The pilots' association recently won federal legislation moving mandatory retirement back to the age of 65, a coup for them, and for all Boomers who want to continue working.) Briand wrote: "One thing pilots have always said is 'Don't take the experience out of the cockpit.'"

O Divine Redeemer

Whatever your faith, whatever your struggle, during this rough transit if there is something you are torn over, something you desire with all your heart and soul, something you have been denied your whole life, something you are longing for, some injustice you have suffered, O Divine Redeemer by Gounod, is the song of the plea.

Says youtube:

The soaring voice of Renata Tebaldi reaches heaven in this hymn composed by Charles Gounod 1818-93 in the last months of his life.
Here are the lyrics. They are hard to understand, but you will hear the most important of them: Hear my cry, here my cry.

Ah! turn me not away,
receive me, tho' unworthy!
Hear Thou my cry,
behold, Lord, my distress!
Answer me from Thy throne,
haste Thee, Lord, to mine aid,
Thy pity show in my deep anguish!
Let not the sword of vengeance smite me,
Tho' righteous Thine anger, O Lord!
Shield me in danger, O Regard me!
On Thee, Lord, alone will I call.

O Divine Redeemer! O Divine Redeemer!
I pray Thee, grant me pardon, and remember not my sins!
Forgive me, O divine Redeemer!
Night gathers round my soul;
fearful I cry to Thee;
Come to mine aid, O Lord!
Haste Thee, Lord, haste to help me!
Hear my cry, Save me, Lord, in Thy mercy;
Hear my cry! Come and save me, O Lord!

O, divine Redeemer! I pray Thee, grant me pardon,
And remember not, O Lord, my sins!
Save, in the day of retribution,
from Death shield Thou me,
O my God!
O, divine Redeemer, have mercy!
Help me, my Savior!

Remember that on your deathbed you will not be hoping for a big raise at work, or a title, or a sapphire ring...you will be hoping that you loved enough, that you tried enough (even if you failed), that you touched life enough and let enough of it in.

Ever wonder why you are here?

When I read, sometimes I think I channel angels. Here's a graphic of me done by a special little girl in my life.

WHAT MY CLIENTS HAVE SAID:

This is the best reading I’ve ever gotten and I have promised myself not to do what I have always done in the past this time. Nancy Worcester

Rating by Emily (from an Expert site I'm on)

knowledgeability - 10
helpfulness - 10
timeliness - 10
politeness - 10
Comment - Those 10's are not accidents. I see the boxes and I'm giving her 10's for all of it. Not only did she answer me fast and accurate but she gave me ideas I never even thought of or forgot to write about. She doesn't sugar coat. That puts a film on things that makes it impossible to learn. Excellent expert you have here.

"I wanted to thank you again for the reading today. You ARE an angel in my life." - RB

"Thank you for everything you are my start into something I have a true passion for. This has been a wonderful experience for me. THANK YOU!!" Sunnaman

"The classes I took from you saved my mind" -B. T.

"Susan, I am so glad she called you I have been raving about you forever!" - Julie

"Thank you yet AGAIN!! You are a source of guidance and reassurance and support in this difficult time for me. How much longer does this transit last? You are like an angel to me at this time in my life and I feel I will never forget you (not that I won’t want to continue to be in contact with you." - R. M.
